Something to know about me? I’m passionate about curls, I bloody love them. They distract me on the street!

In 2019, I embarked on my journey to become a Curl Specialist and in that time I’ve worked alongside some amazing Stylists. My preferred method of cutting curls would be considered curl by curl cutting, however I cut intuitively and organically to encourage natural texture and movement.

I’ve been a fully-fledged “Curly Girl Method” follower for many years but tend to believe that life is too short to miss out on those hair goals. So, if you want to rock a bouncy blow-dry or wear your hair natural then why shouldn’t you? I will recommend products that are kind to your natural hair, while also giving it the protection it needs.

Electric Curl Studio

Is a private studio where your appointment will be a tailored 1 on 1 experience from start to finish. This is a safe space where everyone is welcome. (Except for d*ckheads of course).

Your appointment is a collaboration, if you want it to be. If you have an idea of how you want your curls, please bring photos or ideas with you and let’s make it happen! I will give you my professional opinion above all else but I don’t want my clients to ever feel like they don’t have autonomy over their hair.

  • First appointments at any salon can be a little much, but my goal is to hopefully make you feel relaxed from the onset.

    My studio, is a small space comfortable enough for you and I. Should you want to bring someone with you I can absolutely make this work, but anymore than one person might feel a little cramped.

    We’ll do a thorough consultation so I’m on your page about what you’re after, this is the time to bring out photos.

    I usually cut dry, so I will do the haircut first before the hair wash.

  • No. If you’re confident in how to get the best from your hair, then feel free to book the standard appointments. The First Curly Cut appointment is designed to give you a tailored routine for your curly hair and gives us a little extra time to discuss your hair needs.

  • Yes. Though there are some variables with this. If you prefer your curls on day 2 or 3, then please come to your appointment with day 2 or 3 hair. It should not be tied up for any hair cut appointments as this disrupts the curl pattern.

  • Yes. Though this may feel like a strange request, the colour brand I use works best on clean hair.

    If you’re having both a cut and colour, best practice is to ensure hair is clean, with no product on roots.

  • Yes <3. The studio is completely private.

  • Absolutely yes!! As long as they are friendly and toilet trained :) don’t forget their water bowl, treats and bed if they need it. <3
